Ramzi Aburedwan’s turbulent childhood in Ramallah changed abruptly with a single music lesson. Now an accomplished musician, he’s running Al Kamandjati, a music school, for the children of Ramallah.

I traveled to Ramallah in December 2010 to produce this video as part of my master’s thesis in Journalism from the University of California at Berkeley.
